Bay View Campground - Bourne, MA Oct. 4th-6th

We left Newport, RI around 4:00 or 5:00 and arrived in Bourne, MA (near Cape Cod) around 6:30.
We are staying at Bay View Camp Ground and it is very nice! Site 169. Looks like a lot of people live here seasonally as they have built decks or have screen enclosures. Everyone is out in front of roaring campfires, some eating, some watching sports and everyone seems to be having fun!

As we were setting up upon arrival, we struck up a conversation with our neighbors, Georges and Lise from New Brunswick. They invited us to visit with them in front of their campfire. We had such a nice time! They are both very sweet, easy going and very interesting! They have traveled quite a lot in the States and in other countries. They speak fluent French (French part of Canada) and fluent English. What an enjoyable visit! We exchanged email addresses.

After a good night's sleep we set out Saturday morning to explore Cape Cod. We hit several different 'villages' including Sandwich, Wood's Hole, Falmouth, Hyannis, Chatham and Wellfleet. We were going to travel as far as Providence but it was completely dark so we decided to save it for our next trip! Each town was so cute and charming!

Our Campsite #169

The Camp Store-so cute!

Our drive to Cape Cod

So many houses decorated for Fall, very pretty!

Pumpkin Whoopie pie and chocolate filled croissant, oh my!!!

The photos above are the town of Sandwich and the yummy bakery we found!

The photos above are in Wood's Hole

The photos above are from Falmouth. I love this town! Great bookstore, cute shops, charming houses!

Photos above are from Hyannis. We ate at the Black Cat Tavern with a water view. Really good! I had Salmon, Dave had clam chowdah (you have to say it like that!) and shrimp.

Photos above are from Chatham. This last photo of the road sign was so funny! We saw it several time! Does it mean 'densely populated'?
We headed to Wellsfleet but it was dark so we drove around a bit and decided to head home while listening to the Ray's game on the radio. We will save exploring Wellsfleet and Providence for our next trip.

We have to get up and out early Sunday to head all the way to Bar Harbor, ME!

Sunday morning.....had to put MA on the map!

Excuse my hair...it was wet!

Massachusetts on the map!!

Until next time...

Blessings~
Misi and Dave
