Rhinebeck, NY Sept. 28-30th 2013

We loved Cape May, NJ but were excited to move on with our trip! We left Sat. the 28th around 11:00 a.m. Well, getting to Rhinebeck New York ended up being worth it, but it sure took a while and a lot of money! It ended up taking us 8 hours and cost over $100 in tolls! We did not realize how close we would get to New York City traffic! We had to take the George Washington Bridge, and that alone cost us $60 for RV & car. I was dumbfounded! I will NOT complain about Florida tolls again!

Empire State Building

Welcome to NY! Tons of traffic and over $100 in tolls!

Anyways, we finally made it to Rhinebeck and it truly is beautiful. The park we stayed at was Interlake RV Park. We couldn't tell much when we got there because it was 7:00 p.m.. We, again, had to hop in the car as soon as we got there because we had tickets to a local play that started at 8:00. We just made it! We went to Rhinebeck Center for the Performing Arts and saw Camelot. The acting was good and the first half of the play was well written but it kind of got a bit weird in the second half. It was fun though.

Finally, we got back to Winnie and called it a night. In the morning we were greeted with stunning beauty all around!

The view of our campsite! Beautiful!

NY is on the map!

Above are photos of the park and sites

They have a great rec room and snack bar. We had the best bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches we'd ever had!

Dave got a photo of me while watching church online!

After church we headed out to the Rhinebeck Farmer's Market

Around town

Nifty Restaurant and bar. We had some awesome chili!!!

Took a country drive through some nearby small towns.
What a nice stay! We got up on Monday the 30th and worked in our beautiful campsite. We stopped by the camp store for some souvenirs then headed out around 4:30 for Cozy Hills Campground in northwestern CT, near Bantam.

Until Next Time...
Blessings~
